FEDINC provided the engineering design, permitting, and construction supervision of an automated car wash, including project coordination, site inspection, collaboration of data, preparing permitting documents, drawings and final report submittal. This project consisted of construction of a concrete driveway, parking and a car wash facility containing six self-serve bays, two automatic bays and an equipment room. An existing SWFWMD Drainage Permit had to be modified to construct a Car Wash Facility instead of the seven New Self Storage Buildings that had previously been permitted for the land area.
The project site is located two miles north of SR 60, on the west side of SR 37, in Mulberry, Florida. The project area consisted of 1.10 acres, of which 0.79 acres were impervious. The total contiguous land was 4.33 acres. FEDINC provided soil analyses and soil borings were performed in preparation of the existing permit. Accordingly, the SHWT elevation at the location where the SWM pond was constructed was at elevation 127.50'. Water and sewer utilities were designed, including a large capacity water lift station to accommodate the City of Mulberry.
