200 TPH Frac Sand Plant, Sanders, Arizona
Engineering Design

FEDINC provided turnkey project  services for Pattison Sand Company, LLC, and Outokumpu Technology encompassing process development, engineering design, construction plans, and construction management for a 200 ton per hour fracturing sand and glass sand products located in Sanders, Arizona. The turnkey project involved process development, engineering, and equipment supply.  The plant will produce both fracturing sand and sand products utilizing primarily crushing and sizing equipment.  The plant wet process will produce a crude product that will subsequently be dried and screened to produce a series of products.  Hydraulic fracturing sands, known as frac sands, consist of quartz or silica sands and are used a proppants in oil and gas wells.  A frac sand treatment is the forcing of a concoction of frac sands, viscous gel, and other chemicals down a well to prop open fractures in the subsurface rocks thus creating a passageway for fluid from the reservoir to the well.

This is the first of two plants located in the United States.  FEDINC has worked with the client from early conception through engineering, and to the final stages of implementation.
